This is Not Art, Newcastle, 5 October 2008.

Johnny, Tung and I drove 2 hours to attend this year's This is Not Art festival in Newcastle.

This was the zine market.

Sticky was there from Melbourne.

Matt was there doing his best Hulk impersonation.

Mohammad representing BYDS and Western Sydney.

Johnny pretending he was interested.

Marcus Westbury was the Art Festival Director. I spoke to him about his new ABC TV series also called This is Not Art.

Poetry reading is cool again.

I picked up this little gem for Vi.

We were encouraged to write in the bathrooms. My kind of festival.

It did feel I little weird being watched while peeing.

Nice.

Ran into a lot of bogans.

The sad clown is sad because she has locked the keys in the car. The pirate told me they were waiting for the NRMA. Ahoy.

Tung brought his bird watching lens.

I always stop here whenever I'm in Newcastle.

On the drive up, Tung was told a patient of his had just died due to surgery complications. We had to return home to fill out the paper work. Fair dinkum.
