Ricky Swallow, 23 May 2008. |
![]() I went and saw the Ricky Swallow exhibition at Darren Knight Gallery. |
![]() This is a solid bronze getto-blaster. I image Swallow brought this old getto-blaster from the market for a couple of dollars and used it to make this bronze casting, now worth thousands of times more. That's what I call art. |
![]() Signature Swallow. |

![]() His paintings has a Lucian Freud style very nice. |
![]() Bat wings. |
![]() Then I went to First Draft Gallery. This is Vincent O'Connor's work, Dark Mountain. |
![]() |
![]() This is Monika Behrens work, Battle Nullius. |
![]() A line up of plastic animal figurines found in sweets. I have the Bilby. |
![]() Her paintings of these figurines really showed her fondness of these plastic animals. I'll never look at my Bilby the same way again. |

![]() Then I was on my way to see the Bill Henson's show until I saw this headline. As a member of Australia's art community, I felt so embarrassed for some of our community's ignorance towards Henson's work. Fair dinkum. |
