Neil Gaiman, 6 May 2008.

Had to go into the city to pickup some prints.

My photolab informs me they won't be processing print film for much longer. There's not enough demand to justify running the film processor. I've been processing my films here for the past three years. It's the end of an era.

A van filled with flowers.

Then I bumped into an old friend and we had Pho at Xic Lo. The soup there was terrible but the conversation was good.

Popped over to Gallery 4A to speak with Aaron Seeto about exhibiting work there. With Aaron back on board hopefully 4A will get back to it's glory days. There's certainly a buzz in the air.

I love Roy Ananda's sculpture in the current show.

This sculpture was found a few blocks away.

Snuck into the Art Gallery of NSW to see the Bill Viola video.

First I saw some prints by Maria Elvira Escallon. These are pictures taken inside the El Nogal Club after a terrorist attack. Escallon was incharge of the artistic institution. These pictures had an atmosphere Bill Henson would be proud of.

Then I sat through Viola's video three times. It literally took my breath away.

Went to Borders to look for a book by Matthieu Ricard. This book of baby animals was bigger then the shelf. Ironic.

Found Che in Dymocks.

Bummer.

I read the graphic novel, Death, The High Cost of Living by Neil Gaiman over 10 years ago and haven't read anything better since.

Where's Bin Ladin? The Secret, The Bush.

2.5 hours later, Neil reminds me not to die and is tagging my Polaroid with the back of a pen.

Sometimes when you fall, you fly. Fair dinkum.
